there is an large, fine retrospective
Exhibition of Frank Auerbach.

Last week I spent in Paris.
Workers of Museums were striking;
So it was more an gourmet journey...

Fortunately private museums were
open: Marmottan had put more
works of Monet at first floor
and an nice Exhibition of
Berthe Morisot was there also.

In Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris was an small Morandi
Exhibition.It goes until January 2002.

Ukko Heikkinen is an Pioneer
of digital Photography.
He has made Artworks
with digital Camera and Computer
10 years already.

Now proArtists proudly shows
his "Rill"-Works.

Paintings of Reijo Viljanen
are exhibited
in Forum Box Gallery,
Lönnrotinkatu 44, Helsinki.

There is also works from Paul Osipow
and Iiris Pessa.

He is one of the leading painters
in "Die Norddeutchen Realisten" painters group.

The group was founded some
12 years ago.
"Die Norddeutchen Realisten" are painters
interested in painting from
direct observation of motifs.

"Die Norddeutchen Realisten"
in Tuusula (Finland)
and Salzau (Germany) ,
our Exhibition in Neumünster is open
until 2.9.

a new Exhibition of Reijo Viljanen.
Viljanen is the director
of the Free Art school in Helsinki ,
which doesn't prevent him
to be really fine Painter.

Die Norddeutchen Realisten
painted in Järvenpää
"at the footsteps of Jean Sibelius"

The works will be Exhibited at Schleswig-Hollstein
music Festival from 21.7.2001.

There were four painters from Germany:
Brigitta Borchert, Tobias Duwe,
Erhard Göttlicher and André Krigar.

They invited four Finnish painters to join:
Marja Friberg. Pekka Hepoluhta,
Jorma Korpela, Heinrich Ilmari Rautio
and Viggo Wallensköld.

There are painters even in Australia...

Fred Williams is one of most important painter
of this century.
Especially his Upwey-landscapes are great.

There is no multimedia on this Site
and the last update is two years old, but
important Site is important still after 50 years...

Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco
has an nice Site with about 75 000 works to see.

The gem of the Site is the possibility to construct
an Exhibition room of your own.

The Site of Giorgio Morandi - Museum.

Morandi (1890 -1964) was an very refined painter.
His colors were never gaudy.

Exhibition of my Midsummer Paintings.
I painted them by riverside
some 30 km from Helsinki.

These paintings are now also exhibited
at Finnish Artists Associations Exhibition
in Kaapelitehdas, Helsinki.
There are some 2000 paintings on display.

At Nielsen Gallery there is an interesting exhibition of Laurel Hughes.

Landscape paintings smell some air of atelier,
all the same good painting...

Pekka Hepoluhta will have an Exhibition
in Gallery Uusitalo, Helsinki.
